Your Name? Age? Height? Where have you played as a Pro
player?
What position do you play?
What do wish your youth coaches had focused much more on for your development?

"Luckily I had some great youthcoaches in my early years that focused om
teambasketball and movement without the Ball. This have helped me alot during
my youth- and seniorcareer.
What I was
missing the most, was probably focus on my own game and decisionmaking.
-Knowing
your true strenghts.
- getting
the ball in the best position possible for me to score
- taking a
foul when tou need too
- having
fun by winning
( A coach in my opinion should show that he/she are dissapointed, if the individuel player or
team, doesnt live up to their best performance every single
practice/game)."

I have played on a professional development team in the states called the PBL.
I have been to South America. I played my first year in Europe on a team in
Slovakia called Iskra Svit. I played in Asia too on a team called Takamatsu
Five Arrows in the BJ League in Japan.
I wished that my youth coaches would
have focused more on my perimeter skills and understanding of the game. I was
pretty tall as a kid so my coaches would have me only play inside. So even
though I dominated thru out high school as a 6'6"" center I wasn't
prepared for the next level.
Once I got to college my playing the
post days were over. It was the hardest transition in my life, moving from a
center to a guard. Now I was behind everyone and felt like I wasn't going to
catch up. But luckily I had a great coach to take time out in the summer to
develop my skills. The more I started playing at the position and training the
better I became. Then I started to understand the game on my own.
Even though I still was taught the
skills, I still wish it would of happen earlier and life. Instead of struggling
thru college with things I should of learned while I was young. "

More of the mental part of the game. Like how to stay composed after you make a
turnover or a mistake on the court.

I wish they would have focused more on skill development. We just played a lot
